...and the dolphin returns part 2...

Okey. Continuation of my post. This is, once again, a very long post. Sorry dear readers, if you have to suffer the tedious reading of my very long posts. Anyway, you don't really have to, no one's forcing you.
So, the first day at Subic ended with cultural presentatons from different regions, which, unfortunately ended past midnight. I took a bath right afterwards. I knew it would prolong my waking hours considering I would have to wait for my hair to dry, but I knew myself. From experience, I knew that if I planned to take a bath early in the morning, I would never be able to do it. I would already be too darn lazy. So I chose to take a bath and wait for it to dry. I wasn't very sleepy anyway. I dried my hair while using up what was left of my cellphone load.
Next day. Ayun, there were exercises in the morning, then we were regrouped into teams. Alyana and I ended up in Team 4. Haha. What a coincidence, we were both from NCR and from the same school even. Haha, doesn't happen very often I tell you. Whaha. Naughtyness. Get what I mean?
We had a bunch of lectures for the rest of the day, about Pure Love(you know, chastity before marriage and fidelity after marriage), about the core problem in society(things should behave the way they were originally planned by God), and we also had some sessions wherein we were free to choose from the 5 different topics that were to be discussed in 5 separate rooms. We had the liberty of choosing the 2 topics that we preferred. It didn't necessarily mean that the team should stay together, but we 'NCR girls' went to the same topic rooms together. Haha. Unity! We went to the rooms that tackled about problems on education and the proposal to remove Values Education from the school curricula, and afterwards about Mass Media and the World Wide Wild Web. They were quite interesting I should say. We were also asked to give our own solutions to these problems prevalent in society.
Late in the afternoon. when our eyes were already dropping from the continuous lectures, we were awakened by a bunch of games that were held outside. Whee! I must say I did wake up, and it definitely boosted my energy level, especially since our team won in several games. Yehey! Hehe. Saya.
Practicing for our Pure Love Rally(oh yes, we were going to a real rally!) and a continuation of our lecturez were what transpired during the rest of the night. Once agian, I had to stop my poor eyelids from dropping and dozing off into Dreamworld. Aww.
The next day was more exciting. The day started with the usual exercises and a morning lecture on service projects, since we were going to do our own service project right after.
So, what did we do? Well, each team was sent to dfferent parts of the town proper of Olongapo to look for street children whose days we could brighten up in one hour. Our team was assigned at the marketplace. It was quite difficult at first. I mean, it's not easy to just pull out one of those kids to come with us to Jolibee. We would look like a bunch of kidnappers. Eventually though, Alyana was able to find one guy named JR. Half of the team, consisting of me, Alyana and Ate Wendy, followed JR so we could ask permission from his guardians. It was kind of scary if you would ask me. They asked us some questions and had some strange looks on their faces when they saw us. I guess they weren't the kind who were quick to trust. JR's cousin, Lester, joined us too, and we brought them to Jolibee for a treat and listened to their stories. The experience really did wake me up to the reality that indeed, I really am lucky. Imagine, it was Lester's first time to even enter Jolibee, and I go to Jolibee almost weekly, as well as other fast food joints out there. Lester says the security guard never let him in because of his "squatter" image that, in a marketing sense, wasn't very becoming to customers. I was so glad we were able to cheer them up that day.
Our next activity was the Pure Love Rally. It was a rally that aimed to uphold chastity before marriage and fidelity after it. In other words, preserving your virginity until the right person comes and staying away from pre-marital sex.
Here's our chant:
Who are we?
We are the Pure Love Generation (2x)
*We are the PLG! (clap2x)
We are here to say (clap2x) 2x
Make it sure! Keep it pure! 2x
Repeat*
One love (clap2x) One life (clap2x)
One man(clap2x) One wife (clap2x) 2x
Repeat*
Absolute love, Absolute life!
Absolute sex, Hey that's right! 2x
Repeat*

The Pure Love Generation (I'm not in the pic)Hehe. Saya db?! By the way, Koreans and Japanese girls were the ones who lead us in the rally and did the lectures. They were there at the assembly too. I just adore their high-pitched voices!
Ayun. Nagsiksikan kaming mga sisters papunta dun. Whee! We were really carrying plackards and shouting at the top of our lungs at the plaza. I never thought I'd get into one of those. Don't get me wrong though, I have no plans whatsoever of turning into an activist. I wasn't fighting for or against the government in that particular situation anyway. Aside from the chanting, there were also testimonials from our fellow brothers and sisters, as we call them, about their being able to preserve their virginity. For example, if that was me, I would be shouting...
I am Ella Mae Masamayor, 14 years old, and STILL A VIRGIN!!!I wonder how I would look like if that was me...Haha. Anyway, totoo naman eh...I am still a virgin...and I don't have plans of giving up my virginity till I get married with the right guy...*ehemehem* Too bad our rally wasn't quite appreciated though. From the back, my new-found kuyas could hear bad remarks from the passers-by, saying that we were just creating noise, and totally bad-mouthing what we were rallying for, making it look stupid and "old fashioned." May nagsabi pa nga raw,
"Wala yan! Dito 200 lang may asawa ka na!" Erk. I guess the venue wasn't so appropriate. Our audience consisted mostly of those of the adult generation and probably think pinaparinggan namin sila about their mistakes. Haii...you can't please everybodyIt was way off into the night when we were able to get back to the school. Guilty nga ako eh. Nauna ako kay Alyana. The van was so jam-packed already. Bad mommy. Anyway, for the rest of the night we just had another lecture, then it was bedtime. Hehe.
The next day was the most anticipated day of all-the day of the Adventure Training. We went to Pamulaklakin Trail where we were in for an adventure! Each team was tasked to go through the forest with different stations. At each station, you have to find the pieces of the message that we had to complete with some challenges to go with them. This was not a race of who gets the message completed first, since we began at different times. It was just a game of pure fun. There wasn't even a competition among teams, but the excitement sure had my blood rushing.
It was no ordinary trail! I remember a few very interesting challenges..
* We went down a series of steps, only to find out that we had to go back up and recount them again. Whaaa
*We transferred to the next station dancing "Itaktak Mo"
*We headed for the preceding station jumping like a frog.
*To get past one station, we had to crawl under a bunch of branches that were positioned close to the ground. That would have been easy and boring, but there was a catch - the ground was we had to crawl on was muddy.Hehe, and to think I was wearing white, which eventually turned brown! Hehe.
*We had to slide down a very steep slope! Takot kaming dalawa ni Alyana. Nag-slide kami very cautiously. Haha! Sabi ng kumukha ng
video mukha raw akong mamamatay na. Haha. Buti pa yung boys. Nag-skating
lang sila pababa. Hehe.
I'm so chicken!*We had to look for a piece of the message by going into a rampaging stream. Wahaha. Sarap ng tubig! So cold!
*We climbed a tree. It wasn't a tall tree. It was very short, unfortunately, I was shorter, and had trouble raising my legs up the only branch to climb on. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
*We had to swim under a table in the stream. Dapat tuloy-tuloy ang langoy, para di mauntog! (Note: This is where my video was taken as the "buga master of bugasismo." I'll explain later.)
The adventure ended with us eating some fruits, reading the message and finding out the reason why the place was called Pamulaklakin Trail(It was because of the many herbal plants in the area as well as a vine called "Pamulaklakin Vine" wherein the sap was healthy for a baby to make the bones strong.)
We waited for our ride back to school for quite sometime. While doing so, we took pictures and I bought a souvenir for my bestfriend. :)) Alyana, of majestic beauty(hehe) was video-taped for the video-showing of activities. Hehe. I was excited to see her clip. Little did I know, however, that there were certain shots of me. I'll explain later. We got back to the school to take our baths. Phew! It felt good to get dressed. In the afternoon, the delegates from the different regions were asked to gather among themselves in the auditorium to discuss the proposed actual(gagawin talaga namin) solutions to the problems discussed in the Break-Out Sessions. Our region just discussed abotu our preliminary solutions since JCARP wasn't even instituted in our respective schools yet. Our representative was Kuya Hoshea(Kuya Hoshi!), from Quezon City Science High School, and I should say, he was one heck of a speaker! Ang galing niya! Grabe! I can't really describe it, but it was awesome! Astig! The rest of the time until after dinner, the delegates from our region did nothing but bond with each other. We got each other's contact numbers and had fun laughing. The video compilation of all our activites for the 4-day duration of our stay was shown. I, as I mentioned, was excited to see Alyana, but to my utter dismay, there were more clips of me! Wapak! During the first 3 days. I didn't see myself so much, but on the fourth day, naku! ...
*First was the Welcome Greeating to our "extra challenge." I failed to note that when I was saying "Junior CARP Extra Challenge" that I was in the very middle, and, wearing white, I was very, very visible. Whaa! May pakaway-kaway pa naman ako at nagpapa-cute pa!
*I appeared in the other scenes na nakahawak ang kamay sa baywang at mukhang bangag. Huhu. Nagmukha na naman akong timang.
*I had a very good shot during the mud-crawling part -kitang-kita kung paano ko nilublob sarili ko sa putik!
*I had a very good clip during that "slide for life" part. Kuya Hoshea and Kuya Rap(both from Q-sci) were laughing at how scared I looked.Haha.
*The worst part was when I got out of the water after swimming under the table. Mukha kasi akong ewan eh. Naku. It isn't so funny when I talk about it here, but if you would see it, or if I demonstrate it, you'll laugh out of your wits just like every one of us. Bumuga pa ako ng tubig after umahon, parang nagmumumog! And to make matters worse, slow-motion pa! Whaa. At first, I had no idea that it was me although I was laughing so hard, after the shot my friends informed me that, indeed, I was laughing at myself. Naku! Kahihiyan! This is where I was proclaimed the 'buga master' of 'bugasismo.' Lagi tuloy ako inaasar nina Kuya Rap and Kuya Hoshi! Natatakot daw sila pag umiinom akong tubig. Hehe
**Kinarma naman si Kuya Rap eh. Hehe. May funny moment pala siya
the nigh before. I don't want to expose him here, eto nalang clue:
"Taoismo" We had a closing ceremony to end the night. Nag-uuwian na kasi eh. There was even an issue that we high school students agreed to go along with the college students trip home that night with the college students(Kuya Nash, Kuya Edu and Ate Jam) without the consent of our teachers. It was not true of course, they just invited us, but we never said 'yes.'The rest of the night was devoted to writing our insights on our trip, transferring to the air-conditioned media room(originally for the Koreans who already left), and the NCR final bonding moments. I'm so tired! I'll talk about our trip home and the things(as well as people, hehe) I adored during that assembly next time. Hehe.
